Formed in Brixton, England in 1995, the Alabama 3, also known as A3, are a political country/blues/acid house band featuring singer Larry Love, guitarist Mississippi Guitar Man Love, keyboardist "The Spirit", percussionist Congaman Love, and the Mountain of Love, who plays harmonica, as well as others. In 1996 the multi-member group signed to Elemental in the U.K. and Geffen in the U.S., releasing their debut album Exile on Coldharbour Lane in 1997.
